Rtings:
The Samsung U8000H is a poor TV overall. It delivers a lackluster picture quality, with dull colors and low peak brightness, and blacks are always raised due to its low contrast ratio. It supports a few gaming features, but can't take advantage of the latest consoles or gaming PCs. It's best-suited for watching shows in a moderately-lit room, as it's not bright enough to overcome glare during the day.

These big TVs are impressive in size but the watching experience usually only good in dark rooms and no glare

I have a darkened watching room. The blacks in movies in dim scenes are a constant issue on these lower priced tv's. HDR on or Directors cut can make it worse. I choose dynamic picture usually and it helps me see some details.
I might add it helps to spend time looking at them in the store. Rtings com gives reviews also. Make sure you pay attention and pause what is important to you like details in dark scenes. Often I don't put the same weight on them that they do and dislike orange skin or overly green all the time more than reviews comment on.
