This mouse is a good value at $35, but this has more or less been the standard price for this mouse for a while. The newer v3 Basilisk version has a 35K sensor and (supposed) improvements to the scroll wheel mechanism (which is prone to problems/failure) compared to the cheaper 26K version linked above. I love my Basilisks, but the scroll wheel becomes problematic after a while on this version. I've had better luck after getting the 35K sensor version (knock on wood), though you will pay more of a premium for that one.

I have a Basilisk V2 and the scroll issue was maddening. Try to scroll down and it goes up. I took it apart to clean it, I used electronics cleaner but ended up killing it completely.
