I had a similar one and the compressor died after 5 years, right before the warranty expired. I got it fixed, but I'm not sure how long it will hold up. The repair tech told me he's been busy fixing LG and Samsung fridges all summer—he said some model of their compressors are absolute garbage. Honestly, I don't care about fancy tech, power consumption, or eco-friendly refrigerants—I just want something that lasts a long time.

I have not read reviews worse than this hunk of junk refrigerator. Lots of warning about expensive ice makers, $425 pre charge for a service visit, and compressors tha tgo out regularly. You must read the reviews. They can't give them away and are still on sale at this "one day sale" price, today.
