I'm in the market for a new fridge because I have a Samsung currently. Ice makers in Samsungs are the WORST. Can anyone convince me they've fixed this problem?

I have samsung PTSD and would also like to know. I wish more appliances had Samsungs design + decent price because it's the strongest thing they have going for them

We bought this exact fridge from Home Depot during last year's Black Friday sale. It has been working great so far. I did buy extended warranty on this because I've heard horror stories about Samsung refrigerators but we haven't had any issues so far.

$20 would be too much to pay for a Samsung fridge. We bought one in 2018 because it was unique in having a lower freezer that wasn't a drawer. Within about six months we were having issues with the ice dispenser freezing up. By eighteen months it was unusable. Despite it being a well documented and common problem Samsung wouldn't do anything. Never again.

When you say ice dispenser, i'm assuming you mean in-door ice dispenser in the refrigerated section of the unit; or did you mean ice maker in the freezer section of the unit?
