Facts. Unless you have one of the newer Toyotas that run 0w8 then I'd say 0w20 is a decent upgrade in protection without increasing viscosity too much but yeah other than that give me 5w30 or thicker.

Toyota began transitioning certain engines to 0W-20 synthetic oil around 2006 to 2010 (such as the 2ZR-FE 1.8L and later 1UR/2UR V8s) to meet stricter fuel economy standards and tighter internal mechanical tolerances.

How many toyota's from the 2010's do you see on the road?

How many do you see with over 250k + miles on FB marketplace?

I see them all day every day. Some with over 300k miles.

I have a 10th gen honda civic 2016-2021 and I've seen some for sale with over 200K miles for sale on marketplace. I'll stick with the engineers here. the only thing I disagree with is the oil change mileage.

I only go 5k miles between oil changes. My gauge oil life indicator suggest to change it at 7k miles but I stick with 5k. Most mechanics suggest 5-7k OIC's not 10k for daily drivers.
