Is this worth it over a 77" C5 (~$1600), 77" G6, or possibly a 77" G5 (~$2300 if I can find one for sale anymore)?

out of curiosity, is the 5-year extended warranty included? or are you saying you purchased it on top of the $1911? Who is warranting it?

1911 is without the warranty. I had an offer in for 1900 for the past 5 days and didn't get any bites fyi, this is the lowest, for now.

The 5-year warranty was on top. So it came out to $2238 with tax and the warranty for me.

I'm curious if it did. Some googling showed me it was $2199 on a couple reddit posts. I'll admit I didn't check before buying it on Greentoe.

No, I have both c5 and g6 and brightness and black levels are not comparable. G6 is superb in every sense.

The G series is quite a bit better than the C series. I would definitely spring for the G series if you're able but especially if you're a gamer. I haven't been in the market in a few years so I'd have to research about the MLA tech and what is using what and such but I'm guessing I'd even take a G4 over the C6.

I am sure you are right that a g6 will be noticeably better than a c5, but I don't think it's the black level. Black level on OLED should be about the same. It's the brightness that sets g series over c series among other differences like processing. However, I thought the c6h uses the same Tandem panel as the the G5.

This is a c6h not a regular c6. It's only available on the 77 and 83. It supposedly uses the same panel as the g5.

Worth it is subjective and depends on many factors when it comes to LG oled tv. It depends on your budget, how discerning are you about pq, your source media (Netflix on standard plan vs the 4k plan vs watching 4k blueray) , and your room placement (light controlled room vs lots of ambient light). I would say if this is your first oled TV, then even a c5 will blow you away. If you have tons of ambient lighting, you could consider a c6h or g5 if your budget permits. I have a b8 in my bedroom and I still love how good it is. It's not like these are cellphones where you are going to want to update it every 2 to 3 years.

If you get a new tv, what do you plan to do with your current 77"? Just curious.
