For anyone that wanted a layman's explanation to what this thing does and why it's so costly, here's a copy/paste AI answer;

Is the cable actually wired correctly? It checks for the right pinout (T568A/B), and flags opens, shorts, split pairs, or crossed wires.. the kind of wiring mistakes that cause flaky network drops.

How long is the cable, and where's the fault? Uses TDR (time-domain reflectometry) to measure cable length and pinpoint the distance to a break or short, so you're not tracing wire through walls and ceilings.
Will it actually carry the intended traffic? It verifies the cable is rated and performing for Cat5e/6/6A speeds (1G/2.5G/5G/10G), not just "electrically continuous."
PoE testing. It detects if Power over Ethernet is present, what type/class, and how much wattage is actually available — useful for cameras, access points, phones, etc.
ID mapping. With a set of remote numbered identifiers, you can label one end and instantly find which port/jack it corresponds to at the panel.
