It runs at 30 fps on switch 2. Very blurry textures. It's an acceptable experience on switch 2 but I'd recommend stronger hardware

This game starts off strong, but the story is terrible and there is just so much bloat. It's a slog by the end. Cannot recommend and this game has completely turned me off of getting the third game when it releases.

I think that's the point of the s2. Games won't be as good as console but you can take it with you. I am currently playing this game, and it still looks great imo.

They've boiled this game down to the most lackluster minigames and fetch quests which make up 90% of its content. A real shame.

Playing this on Series X and having so much fun, admittedly I love doing all extra content/side quests and its taking me forever to advnace the story which I dont mind! The music is so nostalgic when I enter into new areas.

I actually loved this game. Was game of that year together with wukong. Much better than remake. Most of the stuff are optional. Wished i played it on pc since ps5 was a completly blurry mess at 60fps

They gotta remake ff8 or 10. Ff7 on PS1 was okay, but I never thought it was THAT good

Hmm... looks at comments: blurry mess, 30fps and slog. Guess I don't need this after all.

Would get this if I had time to play it right now, but I think we'll see lower prices in a few months, so I'll wait.

7 is one of my favorites, 8 is not.
8 is definitely a black sheep and could use a remake the most of all of them. It had a very interesting story(ies) but the Junction system was too complex and had a steep learning curve in the early days of the internet. The Junction system rewards hoarding magic, in a game about casting spells.... Today, everyone knows how to break it. So I would love to see FF8 with a refined junction system and a more complete story for Laguna.
I don't FF10 think needs a remake, it has held up well. A FF 10-0 would be a cool prequel telling the story of Jecht, Auron, and Yuna's dad.

Totally. And I screwed up by trying to 100% the game through the first 9-10 chapters. And then you have to go back to the amusement park and there is sooooo much minigame bs. I plowed through the rest of it, but the story was just so bad. Definitely skipping part 3.

Love this game but it needs more optimization on all platforms. Mods are a must on PC to run smoothly, which is sad

Had a blast playing this game on PS5. Music was incredible. Sure it's not the perfect game, but the overly critical folks need to move onto other game franchises rather than complaining about side quests and mini games…that's likely a mainstay with all future Final Fantasy titles. I'll be buying the 3rd game in this trilogy. It'll be interesting what they do with the next Final Fantasy game, as I found Final Fantasy 16 enjoyable for a play through, but forgettable.

I'd argue that ff16 was forgettable, there isnt like ff16-2 ff16-3, crsis core ff16, ff16 remake, ff16 rebirth, ff16 advent children, ff16 mobile phone.... i can keep going forever...

sure of course you forgot ff16 but Square hell reminded the F to you that FF7 existed. on top of that, ff16 came out the same year rebirth did, so it never got a shot to be remembered lolol....
