Its a puzzle exploration game that relies on you figuring out what's going on and once you do you can beat the game in under 20 minutes. If that sounds disappointing, it really isnt. The story won't advance at all until you figure certain things out in this universe. In this way its kind of like Myst where your knowledge is what changes whether you can progress the story or not. Your job is to figure out what is going on in this mysterious solar system.

The story is really neat and by the end I found it to be one of my favorite games of all time. It is divisive with players, some think like I do and others enjoy games where you hack n slash and collect stuff and upgrade things. It is a mistake to spoil the story on this one. the music is great, the story is charming and unique, the puzzles are crafting designed, and the exploration leaves you feeling like a proper astronaut.

The bundle with Echoes of the Eye expansion was also excellent and leans more into a non-gory horror aspect. it adds to the overall main story in a neat way.

My favorite game of all time, but you need to love letting your curiosity pull you through exploration and discovery. The game doesn't give you a lot of explicit direction, but threads to pull on. Some people get frustrated with the flight mechanics, I found them quite fun.

Fantastic game, really enjoyed it. One-of-a-kind experience. It's a small Indy game, which is noticeable at times. It's got some rough edges at times. If janky controls turn you off, this probably isn't for you. Also, you need to be able to enjoy a game purely for discovering a new world, cause that's what this is. But it's a great world to discover.

The Archeologist edition (includes Echoes of the Eye DLC) is also on sale for $17.09. That's cheaper than buying this version and then buying the DLC ($7.50 on this sale), save about $3.

Also, it has a Switch 2 patch that improves framerate and clarity. Not like PC + GPU standards but definitely way better than the Switch 1 performance.
