Kingroon PETG and PLA filament is drawing attention for very low per roll pricing, especially on the black PETG bundles, and the brand has a solid track record for reliable printing. The strongest reports put 10 kilograms of black PETG around $45 to $56 shipped or after tax, with some orders landing near $5 per roll. PETG is also described as printing better, though slower, and it can work well as a backup spool in automated systems. The main caveat is that pricing shifts at checkout, PLA often shows much higher, and matching color or finish across rolls is not guaranteed.

Common Questions (4)

  • Reported totals range from about $45.70 to $56.43 shipped/taxed, with some buyers landing near $5-$5.50 per roll. The exact checkout price can vary by account and coupon use, and one comment notes the price can jump after signing in.

  • It can work, but matching brand, material, and even filament profile matters for reliable printing and layer adhesion. Same-color spools may keep a print going in some systems, but different brands can change finish, texture, and print quality.

  • The deal price is for the black PETG option; PLA is listed much higher, around $90-$95. Several comments note the PETG black listing is the one matching the advertised price, while PLA does not.

  • Not always; one checkout showed $92, while other buyers saw the price change to about $60 or $52 after signing in. The deal can still work with coupons, but the final price appears to depend on the account and checkout state.

Can you use 2 separate brands to print something?
TLDR; kind of like hitting a bullet with a bullet. Technically it should be possible whether you are manually switching over or using an automated material system. I think the issue you will run into is that two different brands/manufacturers likely have different filament profiles that result in the best print otherwise the overall print quality will likely be highly YMMV. If you have saved the profiles for each of the brands and then manually switch both the filament and profile if your rig allows for it then it might minimize the risk of a QC issue with your print. Full disclosure I've not done what you are asking but I have two Bambu AMS2 Pro units connected to my P2S and do setup a backup spool of the same brand/manufacturer to ensure the print gets to 100% completion. Even with the same brand/manufacturer the filament profiles can be different due to moisture levels, filament age, etc. and I've seen differences in the print when it switches over. Just sharing my own opinion/experiences.
