This DYU M26 is a budget city e bike with a removable 36V 10Ah battery, but the battery is repeatedly described as small for the price. The strongest appeal is simple low cost delivery, while the main concerns are weak real world power, limited range, and heavy weight that can make hills and pedal assist disappointing. Serviceability is another issue, since local shops may not work on it and parts support is questioned. A practical pick only if the low entry price matters more than long term support.

  • The bike can include a 42V charger that matches a 36V lithium-ion battery pack's max voltage.

  • The 36V 10Ah battery pack provides about 360Wh of energy for planning runtime across power modes.

  • The removable battery setup can let riders consider swapping or keeping extra batteries for longer-term use.

  • The bike's power assist can still feel fast at higher assist levels, based on comparable AliExpress e-bike experiences.

  • The motor output is reportedly closer to about 250W than 1000W peak marketing claims.

  • The 36V 10Ah battery is described as a tiny battery, which can limit real-world range.

  • Local bike mechanics may refuse to service these bikes, which can leave owners handling repairs themselves.

  • A factory rear-wheel pinhole leak has been reported, creating an early reliability problem for the rear wheel.

No way that's a 1000w motor. Perhaps just marketing with the use of the word "peak"

I like the Urlife 500w 48v bike with fat 20" tires with back rack. It's on sale once in a while and it sold more than a thousand according to AE. Like any of these ebikes it's heavy but I like a heavy bike to exercise and I use power mode to assist me on the way back. 500w is not very much but it can run at 22mph which one can feel very fast. The battery is 13+ Amp. I don't know how long the range will be but it seems more than 20 miles.

If you see a bike with under 10 sold you are not likely to receive your bike. I bought twice and the sellers took 3 weeks to ship and by the end of 4th week the delivery went to somewhere else and delivered to a name that sounds like a business. I complained and got $ back in a few days but each time I lost 4-5 weeks waiting on delivery. Don't know what the sellers were trying to do, maybe borrowing some free money?

If you want a quality bike, I'd recommend spending a few extra dollars and getting an Aventon. I've had 2 different random chinese e-bikes, and both were a nightmare to service and eventually just died without the ability to get parts from the manufacturer.

Aventon has a 2 year warranty, hundreds of service centers around the US and safe, UL batteries and chargers.

I have a Pace 500.2, it was about 1300 dollars and I've had it for 4 years, 15,000 trouble free miles. I did have one issue with a battery after 1.5 years of ownership, the local shop replaced it quickly with a new one.

The Aventon Soltera is about 1k and is a great bike to ride that happens to be an e-bike. The Aventon Level would be a more ideal commuter bike but is pricier. Couldn't recommend Aventon enough for someone wanting to get an e-bike that is actually serviceable.

This is 250 dollars. You said a couple hundred extra, but then listed two bikes, one at 1,000 and another at 1,300, which is 4-5x higher than this. Can you please post the link for the Aventon for $450?

Here's one last year for under 400 bucks at Best Buy, it's in my garage right now. Deals can be found if you know how to look for them but we are at slickdeals.

Again, the bike OP posted is an absolute waste of 250 dollars and a huge hassle to try and return. Spending 1k on a bike with actual support and standard parts would be a much better investment.

Go 49ers.

36V is the nominal voltage.

A 36V LithIum-Ion pack is 10 battery cells in series.

LithIum-Ion cells are 3.7V nominal (4.2v charged - 3.0V discharged)

So for a ---------------------------------------You use a

36V Pack (10 cells in series): 10 × 4.2V = 42.0V max output charger
48V Pack (13 cells in series): 13 × 4.2V = 54.6V max output charger
52V Pack (14 cells in series): 14 × 4.2V = 58.8V max output charger

This is why Dewalt calls their 5 cell batteries 20v max instead of 18v nominal

I absolutely second this. If we can find aventon at $400, we will definitely go for it. This $250 bike has a weak motor, weak battery, it is worse than a regular bike. It won't provide the pedal assistance when you need it while adding more unnecessary weight. BUT if your purpose is to exercise, gain muscle, lose weight, go for it.

A 1000 dollar bike that works is a far slicker deal than a 250 e-bike with no support or parts available. .

Is charging it too fast the issue with fires or too much power? Is there a way to throttle the charge if you're not in a hurry (My EV does that and has a great BMS)

All these negative posts is making me think about refusing delivery, but not sure if I'll get refund from AliE. How're they with returns? I did use PP for protection

Or buy 4 $250 bikes and you'll have all the parts you ever need. LOL
