Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan is mainly valued as a low-cost way to extend Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Photoshop access for another year. The deal has stacked cleanly on existing annual plans and pushed the next payment date out by a year when the plan matches exactly. Paze can shave off another $10, and the price sits close to B and H's similar offer. A caveat is that Adobe can tweak the included apps just enough to make a plan fail to stack, so matching the exact subscription matters.

  • Stacking the 1-year Lightroom Photography plan can extend the next payment date by one year.

  • Adding this deal can work for renewal timing when the plan is added to an existing annual subscription.

  • Using the promo code may require a retry, but it can eventually apply correctly to reach the intended price.

  • Using Paze can provide an additional $10 off on top of the deal price.

  • Stacking may fail when the existing subscription plan does not exactly match the deal's included plan.

  • A prior attempt reportedly created two concurrent Lightroom Photography plans that were slightly different, requiring support to fix.

  • The $59 Lightroom 1TB plan reportedly did not stack because the included apps were tweaked, which can prevent term extension.

  • The savings versus an alternative retailer can be modest after coupons, making the deal less compelling for some buyers.

I purchased last year 08/28/2025 for $85, mainly to use photoshop. Should I wait for better price? just need for occasional photoshop work. I'm also getting used to gimp, but for $85 I'll just buy adobe for one more yr.
I've always bought my Photography Plan leading up to the holidays when there are deals. Less than $100. I'm also debating on whether to buy now with the $10 Paze credit, or wait a couple of more months. I worry that there is no guarantee that the deal will come around again, so always a gamble.

Can you use this and not have it auto-renew at the end of the year? I've heard it's very difficult to get out of adobe subscriptions.

For some reason people seem to be drawn to a monthly bill....
This is precisely why so many people dumped Adobe or, as I've done thus far, remained on Photoshop CS6 as a still-working alternative to pumping them money on the regular while low-key, year over year, consider "what's next", but knowing Adobe's name won't be on it.

Most customers were NOT on the upgrade merry-go-round, forking out for every new version at release. Most would skip at least one upgrade cycle unless there was some killer new feature or workflow improvement that would justify the $600+ cost of each major release. Customers were in control and able to make choices based on their own value propositions.

Adobe had a solution. Take away your choice to skip upgrades, which left their sales forecasts far less certain with each new release. Move to a subscription that effectively forces the cost of a new version (perpetual license) every 2-3 years, to solve THEIR problems, not yours. All the cool kids are doing it.

IMO and IME, 80-90% of the benefit is Adobe-centric. It's for them and their owners/shareholders, more easily creating and retaining predictable revenue streams based on a subscription, and they no longer have to succeed or fail based on how well received their latest release was. Lay an egg on a major release, few people become takers, in the world of perpetual licenses (office 2007, windows 8, etc.). Now, the user base is captive to their evolution of the product, even if it's questionable in incremental value over time. You can't just skip an upgrade on a subscription. You have to leave, empty handed, if you don't like it. No more big-bang events of a major release for them to live or die on, they can produce mediocrity with far less risk to revenue. And, they can more effectively count on renewals instead of counting on perpetual license purchases, where owners of the product could more easily decide, without stopping use, if there's enough justified in the latest release to fork out money for the upgrade or just skip that one. Now the only choice is to continue throwing more logs on the fire or leaving altogether. Yay. Progress.

NOTE: In the world of Adobe subs, this is a 'good deal'. Will you find another in a year? maybe... maybe not

Going to wait for a better price, hopefully by the holidays. Mine expires March.

Looks like B&H has the 1-Year Adobe Creative Cloud Photography 1TB (Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic) for $98.99 after a $40.00 coupon off their $138.99 listing price. Not that much of savings, unless you have their PayBoo card and can benefit from the sales tax savings.

I ran into this last year where I wound up with two concurrent Lightroom Photography plans that were somehow ever so slightly different. Support eventually fixed it. This one thankfully stacked correctly, though I wonder how many years I can stack.
They are sneaky bastards (and have lost more than one class action lawsuit for being such an ass). The $59 plan did not stack with this past year's subscription because the included apps got tweaked by a tiny little bit besides the core LR + LR Classic (e.g., some useless minor "cloud app" got "added"). They use this tactic to pretend that it's a "different" plan, preventing term extension and praying for wasted months that they can pocket.

I rarely use this photography plan so i'll gamble and wait. Hopefully $10 paze stays too, although paze I haven't received credit either for transaction from 2 months ago, so maybe that $10 not guaranteed either

What is the consensus of opinion of activating this in late December? My 20GB plan expires Jan 2, and I would like to move to this plan, especially at this stellar price.
