Great price for this bike. It's heavy but works well. Good idea to get a bigger disc brake in the front. And seal the box on the bottom of the bike to keep moisture from entering there as that is where the controller sits. I bought one for the kids last Black Friday for roughly this price. It still works well and it has been dropped a few times. I just bought another a few weeks ago during the last sale for around this price. The controller has a newer firmware which seems more restrictive and it also only allows brightness level 1 through 3 instead of 1 through 5 on the older firmware. It is really hard to see the new bikes display when the sun shines on it. I messaged UrLife about it to see if one can unlock a higher brightness level and they just said "sorry, not possible". That is pretty frustrating.

I bought a couple of these bikes 2-3 months ago. They are alright for the price. It has a few things I'm not thrilled about but it gets the job done. I'm around 190 and it doesn't really go 28 mph for me, maybe 24 or 25. The battery is pretty decent but I don't use it without peddling. The customer service is kind of a pain so don't expect much help from them. It's easy to assemble but comes with crappy instructions. I had to do some tuning to the breaks and gears because they weren't right, so id be prepared for that. If your not great with bikes you may need some assistance to make it ride perfectly. All in all I'd recommend it for most people looking for something to help out with hills and a basic daily commute. My elderly mom loves it because it's easy to get on and off of and she can use the throttle when needed.

I ordered this a month ago and LOVE IT for the price. Took 3 days to be delivered, about 20 minutes to assemble, and comfy on the butt. It does not have a horn... but I bought a rechargeable one on Amazon for $10. It goes about 26-28 for me and I'm 160lbs. The front suspension fork is pretty stiff so avoid big bumps or holes.

Thanks for the heads up. I was wondering why the display was so dark.

How do you set the brightness - can't see a thing on mine in the sun

They are outright lying about the motor. Actual manual here https://device.report/m/0f8503092..._optim.pdf

It's a 250w motor , 750w peak output. Going to be useless for anyone over about 175 pounds

people love this bike everytime it comes up.

In regards to the above, I have seen people claim over and over that this bike is speedy and fun and goes 28ish mph when unlocked. Some people say the PAS is awfully jerky and they disconnected the cable for it, iirc.

What is the actual battery capacity for those that have purchased it in the past?

This seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of electric motor wattage ratings. The power limit almost always come from the controller not the motor. This has an 18a controller, so 13s x 3.7v = 48.1v x 18a = 865w nominal. 750w can be accurate with some voltage sag.

Several states have "750w max" regulations so ebike sellers are incentivized to under rate their bikes.

I have one of these, we put our kid in a seat on the back rack and then tow a bike trailer. Works great so it absolutely handles heavier weights.

For the price, this is an excellent ebike.

The major flaw is the controller's waterproofing. Don't ride it in heavy rain, water will enter the controller and ruin it. I replaced the controller with a 22a (~1000w) version and it works great, though I did lose pedal assist and the display.

Chances are yours is already on the brightest setting. I'm not by the bike right now but I think you turn the bike on, hold the up and down button together which will take you to a menu. There, click up or down to move between settings. Find the brightness setting and set it to the highest number you can find. If it's the older version it's setting 5, if it is the newer one it's setting 3, which as I said is useless in the sun.

I've had the bike since last fall. I'm 6' 4" and 215lb. I can hit about 26mph on flat ground and it has no issues with hills whatsoever. Me and my wife both have one and ride around with our friends on their $1500 Radpower bikes, keep up on hills, and pass them on flats with no issues. The only thing legit useless about the bike is the pedal assist. We use throttle with pedal.

No UL certification? I didn't see it in the listing.
