But look at the product pictures provided. To shine the light across the entire width of the vacuum head means it needs to protrude out the front of the vacuum bar by like half an inch, don't forget it's already sticking out by like an inch on the left side. That means you'll be bumping this attachment into all sorts of things and also can't get close enough to the wall/furniture to clean from the front/left side. I ended up going with a slimmer version to minimize this shortcoming, not as bright but works just fine with the main room lights off.
