This thing is absolute garbage. It blocks websites it deems dangerous. Before I found the solution I couldn't log into my insurance portal. Whats even more funny it even blocks the bitdefender website! I cant even upgrade to unlimited VPN if I wanted to!!! Ive had Norton for years now im going back.
Read the bad reviews its a common on going problem. And to still block its own website (not an old problem) it shows they do not and have not hashed out any solutions from the previous versions.

I have used this for 8 years with good results. Sometimes it is overly conservative warning about a website that is actually fine, but you can easily override that and also change the settings to be less aggressive. I actually want it to be aggressive when protecting my computer.

I can browse just fine with Bitdefender. Are you going to their main page www.bitdefender.com/en-us/? I can browse just fine. I strongly recommend VPN's such as PIA. You shouldn't even clicking on that link, but typing in the address. Try to browse safely.

I still have over 3yrs left. I paid around ~$15 for all my 2yr bundles of 5/devices, which stacked. Maybe this is the new norm.

Can i get one more code to make it 30 devices? or does the extra code just extend the expiration date? I wanted to get it for a small business.

Can I hold on to this license and activate it later and still get 2 years? BitDefender support seems to be telling me that as soon as you purchase it from Newegg the 2 year time period starts whether you entered the license code in or not.

Yes you can - the 2-year (or whatever length) coverage period only starts counting once you actually enter the code into your Bitdefender Central account, not when you purchase it via NewEgg.

Yes, you can add a second code to your Bitdefender Central account. Because the new 15-device code does not match the device count of your existing 15-device code, it will not give you an "extend" option; instead, it activates as a parallel (concurrent) subscription on your account. This temporarily gives you a combined pool of 30 device slots running at the same time until the individual expiration dates are reached.
How Parallel Activation Works

Device Slots: You will have both subscriptions active in your account, providing separate device allocations that run concurrently.
Expiration Dates: The extra code does not stack or push out the expiration date of your first code when the device counts differ. Each subscription keeps its own independent countdown timer based on when it was activated.
Management: You do not need to reinstall the software on your devices; you simply manage which license covers which device directly inside your Bitdefender Central Account.

buying direct from bitdefender activates it on purchase day. buying from newegg allows the time to start whenever you decide to activate it with bitdefender.

when you get the "your order is ready" email, do you download the installation file right away, and then wait to activate it when you want to use it months later, OR do you just wait to download the installation file until you want to use the product?
google says:
Wait to download the Bitdefender installation file until you are ready to use it. The subscription period or validity often starts immediately upon generating or claiming the license key provided by Newegg, rather than when you run the file, but downloading the latest installer later ensures you get the most up-to-date software version.

update: newegg did confirm via chat, that you can activate when you're ready to use it.

This dude probably works for Kaspersky 😃 Have had Bitdefender literally for years both on desktop / mobile, and not once've had any issues.

It periodically will block some sites or throw warnings about sites that are safe/without issues. However, that's pretty rare. And regardless, better to be a bit trigger happy than miss something.

Overall, very happy with Bitdefender.
