There is a new dedicated OS for DS only out that MagicX officially endorses. I don't have this but I have seen others in the reddit group who appear to be pleased with it....if you only want to run NDS games.

I've haved this since it was released and I never play DS games on it. It is perfect for vertical space shooters which is what I use it for. They are so much better with this screen layout. I have Retroid Pocket 5, RG Cube XX, Miyoo Mini, and RG Rotate also. I probably use RG Rotate the most because it is so pocketable, then the Zero 40 because I love to just pick up and play shooters, even though I'm not very good at any of them. It succeeds at playing almost all arcade shooters well, with some slowdown on newer (2000s) releases like Mushihime-Sama. It even does really well with Sega Naomi. You can find other systems which work well with it's vertical screen like WonderSwan and some Atari Lynx games. And yes, Nintendo DS. My recommendation would be to find a good all around handheld in your price range first and then buy this if you are interested in the systems that I mentioned. For around $100, you could get a Magic X40 and a RG Cube XX and play just about anything through PS1.

Great deal, but after watching Retro Game Corps review it, it sounds like the screen would be too small for me, at least.

I got this for shmups and decided I really didnt care for the feel of the buttons and sticks. Too small, too meh...but at this price, yall can flip if it dont work out
