Arpha is actually a Taiwanese company so it doesn't come from China. It's considered to be high quality. My in-laws, who live in Taipei, just got one and really like it. The one they got is more advanced, with facial recognition and other high-end features. This seems to be a really good deal for a good-quality smart lock. Ordered a silver one. Thanks OP!

Edit: after further research, Arpha has a Taiwanese branch that sells many high quality smart locks made in Taiwan, but this lock is not one of them and is made in China with lower quality.

ROFL it's made in China and is a Chinese company. China has high quality and low quality, all depends on price.

Does not allow you to lock remotely. Someone has to press button on physical door to wake it up so you can lock would not buy because of that.

How is this 95TU?
I know it's getting paid promotion and pushed by Paid SD Staff Influencer, but these numbers are crazy.

Seller is in China, not Taiwan.
Business Name: Shenzhen Tuyuan Image Technology Co.
21 ratings in the last year and 125 lifetime. That's low. Lots of one star feedback they have tried to strike too.

The item itself has NINE total reviews.

Sorted by most recent:
1,1,2,4,21,5,5,5
So the first three reviewers all found it amazing and since then it's been pretty trash.

how many bonus votes did they pay for?

TP Link overall is a Chinese company with an American subsidiary. They created a separate subsidiary to get their US goods sold. I am not concerned with the TP Link routers (since I won't buy those) but am concerned with all of the TP Link light switches (KASA) that I have installed in my house.
