Sony WH 1000XM6 at this price is mainly an Amazon Resale gamble on a premium noise cancelling headphone, but the upside is strong when the unit arrives as described. The best reports describe packaging and headphones that look brand new, pair normally, and feel worth it at roughly half off or more. The main risk is condition roulette, with some orders arriving dirty, wrong, or missing parts, and refunds can turn into a long headache. Free returns and careful unboxing video help reduce the risk, making this a tempting open box style deal if the condition checks out.
Common Questions (4)
It can be a strong deal if the unit arrives as described, with multiple reports of headphones arriving brand new-looking or fully like new. The main risk is condition roulette: some orders arrive wrong, dirty, missing parts, or not close to like new, so the value depends on whether you're comfortable returning a bad unit.
Yes, free returns are available, which makes the used purchase easier to gamble on. That matters because the listing can arrive in poor condition or even be the wrong item, so a no-cost return is the main safety net.
Yes. If the box contains the wrong item, missing accessories, or obvious damage, video and photos can help when disputing the order with customer service and returning it.
A Sony used or like-new item may not carry a manufacturer warranty, so it's worth checking whether headphone warranty coverage is transferable before buying. The low price is attractive, but warranty protection may be limited compared with new stock.

I've had my XM3's for years, I love them. I've replaced the ear cups, battery, and charging port; all repairs were cheap and easy. I've also heard the the newer models are generally harder to repair....

1. Apple AirPods Pro 2 open box like new: came in terribly used condition, box was AirPods Pro 2 but the actual case and earphones were clearly the AirPods Pro 1 version. I took photos, I chatted and provided my photos, and then returned them. After about 60 days, they determined I must have kept the AirPods Pro 2 and lied to them. I did not get my refund back. I did not do a charge back out of fear they would ban me and/or my address.
2. Razer BlackShark V3 Pro Bluetooth gaming headset open box like new: received a completely different branded headset that was wired. Condition was disgustingly dirty, sticky, and pleather was disintegrating. It was missing all other parts/accessories too. I took a video and photos this time, chatted, and submitted my proof. They provided me a refund after 30-60 days.
Lost $150ish the first time, and sure I got my refund the second time around, but it such a headache.
