The last time I got a bonus card through a similiar Panda Express gift card offer, the bonus card did not work. I contacted customer support and while they gave me a coupon code for a free Bowl, they were unable to assist with getting the bonus card to work.

Not sure the cause, but I have never had an issue with their $8 bonus cards in the last 2 years. I do use mine ASAP with the GC to buy something and keep the GC balance for later purchases. It's good that Panda does not say that we can only use the bonus card in the future.

One thing about the bonus card is that it can only be used ONCE. If you do not use up all the $10 on the bonus card, the remaining amount is forfeited.

Also not all PE locations accept gift cards.

Are you sure it didn't expire?

Thanks... got 2 $50 cards and 2 $10 bonus ones. Even with the price increases, Panda is still one of the better buys with the family meal, because everything has gone up so much.

I'm in the same boat. Tried to use 2 ($8) bonus cards from the last promo before it expired but couldn't apply it during checkout. Never happened before. The customer service didn't help at all, said it's out of their hand. Told me to contact the card issuer, which was also a dead end. At least you got a free bowl.

Has anybody ever been banned from buying these gift card deals and have any experience undoing this ban or getting around it? I got screwed over a few months ago by Synchrony when an unauthorized $1.08 charge from Apple appeared on my credit card (wasn't my charge, I didn't even have that card on my Apple account). When I went to dispute it, the dispute agent had no clue what they were doing and decided to dispute every single charge I'd made on that card for the entire statement (when I escalated it, they admitted they'd listened to the recording and said I never asked them to do this, and that the agent had no clue what they were doing... but said that once a charge is disputed and refunded, it can't be "undisputed"), they saw this, canceled the one gift card I bought with the card and now I can't buy anything because they have flagged every piece of my identity as being "fraudulent."

I can no longer buy any gift cards from CashStar using any credit card, and their customer service keeps telling me they'll get back to me, but never does.

Wow... what incompetence... always use the online management portal when you can (e.g. to dispute charges). People are more incompetent than ever these days.

I did try it online initially, and they rejected the dispute. A whole $1.08, they did an investigation and they determined that I actually made the charge, as if I would go through all of that work to defraud them of $1.08. Synchrony is apparently petty like that. And they took about two months "investigating" that before they made that determination.

Amazingly, when I called, the agent somehow had the ability to dispute and remove every single charge I'd made (it was about $300 in charges for the month) on the spot, all were credited to my account when I checked online minutes later and I got a letter within a week saying that the chargebacks were pemanent, no investigation needed.

I'll note that this is Synchrony, which back when they were GE Money Bank, they also did these shenanigans with a dispute that I made that was their error. Back in 2007, a gas station charge for about $60 showed up on my statement, in another state. I disputed it. They found that the charge was "actually mine" and sent me a certified letter in the mail with the proof that I'd made the charge. The best part? The proof was a receipt for the correct amount, but had a different person's name and credit card number on it. They literally denied a chargeback (at least initially) in which they had a receipt that had a different name and credit card number.

Damn. Went to order the usual Panda Express family meal and the price went up again. It use to be less than $40... then $40... then $41.... now it jumped to $45. I'm in Oklahoma so should be one of the cheaper areas.
