Bought Starfox for $49.99 the other day and just received my $25 DoorDash gift card.

Community Reviews

DoorDash's gaming promo is aimed at digital game purchases and can return a DoorDash gift card, with several successful orders at $49.99 triggering the reward. The strongest reports show the gift card arriving by email after a couple of days, and the offer appearing on product pages as Free $25 Gift Card before later dropping to $15. The main snag is eligibility and fulfillment, since checkout often does not show the promo, gift cards themselves may not qualify, and some orders needed support or screenshots to get honored. A workable deal when the qualifying tag is visible.

Common Questions (5)

  • The bonus gift card has arrived by email in about 2 to 3 days after purchase. Some orders show no checkout confirmation, so the reward may appear later even when the product page showed the promo.

    NightlHlawksyndragorebching28Pagefault

  • $49.99 digital games have triggered the offer and produced the gift card, so the promo can work just under the $50 headline threshold. The qualifying label appears on some game pages, while gift cards themselves do not show the same tag.

    gimpKDangtrombotNightlHlawk

  • Yes, purchases have still generated the bonus even when checkout showed no mention of it. The promo has appeared on product pages or under the price instead, and the gift card arrived afterward by email.

    nickscruzsyndragoredjgobluehazelnutpark

  • The promo appears aimed at digital game purchases, not gaming gift cards. Gift-card pages show a 10% discount instead of the "Free $25 Gift Card" banner, and DoorDash terms say offers and promotional credits generally cannot be applied to gift cards unless explicitly stated.

    mtaylor2096gimpSomethingAzn2GreySquirrel365

  • Support may ask for a screenshot of the promo page, and missing screenshots have been used to deny honor requests after the offer expired or disappeared. Several buyers had to contact support repeatedly, while others eventually received the gift card after a delay.

Figures this deal will be gone before Gears E-Day is an option. I'd opt for Splatoon Raiders but that's nonexistent currently in the active selection plus digital for that is $49.99 so I doubt it'd be eligible for the promo. Any Starfox purchasers have luck with the $25 credit?
Can confirm! Just received the $25 gift card for Starfox, purchase at $49.99. Took 2 days.

Did you have any tag or mark on Starfox for the $25 gift card?

Yes. Under the price on the app it said "Free $25 gift card". On checkout, it did not have any mention of this though.

I wish DoorDash had some newer Switch 2 stuff, specifically Splatoon Raiders and/or the Pokopia Expansion Pass. And the Xbox digital game selection is even worse.

How long does it take to get the game? I purchased a game for $59.99 but never received an email confirmation. When I look at my doordash orders, the game is there with a receipt. It's been over 12 hours so far.

It's been 3 days and I never received any email from them even though the order shows up in my account. I called customer service and they said they escalated it to their back office team and it will be resolved within 24 hours. 24 hours goes by and nothing. I called again and they told me the same thing: escalated to back office team and will be resolved with 24 hours. I waited 36 hours and called again. I was told it would be escalated again and will be resolved within one hour. After 3 hours, I called again and was put on hold while they contact their back office team. The customer service rep came back and said they can't offer compensation for this. Basically said I'm shit out of luck. I don't want compensation. I want my game or a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor and am waiting for a call back. This whole thing is a scam.

I ordered Star Fox on Saturday, and just got the gift card. The deal wasn't displayed on my app or computer.

I bought Star Fox on Saturday, got the $25 gift card in my email on Tuesday. The deal wasn't displayed at checkout, but it did show up on the product page.

I was going to make another purchase (I think the terms said the max was 2), but I don't see it on the product pages anymore either, so does that mean it's dead now?

They added Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for Switch 2, looks like that's the only new addition though.

I ordered on Friday and received the game but haven't received the gift card bonus yet. I did have the promo shown on the product page at the time so hopefully it arrives soon...

EDIT: just received!
