The Edition XS is a large open back planar headphone that stands out for huge soundstage, strong detail, and sub bass that feels well above the price. Previously, these were 170+ from HIFIMAN direct for a refurb. I've always wanted to try planar headphones and so far have had several Sennheisers. ~100$ w tax is good enough for me, especially since the item is from HIFIMAN, shipping from New Jersey.
The sound quality is great and absolutely amazing at this price point. Like other have said, though, the headphone is kind of loose on the head even though my head is fairly large.
Coming from a he400se user these headphones are legit. The sound stage is huge and they do awesome with gaming. So much so my son stole them for gaming and was amazed.
For those worried about the pad you can buy, or 3d print a 'comfort' strap that will help with pressure on your head.
This is an extremely good buy for mid $80.
