Revanced is a way to get around ads and annoying stuff, but it's also a 3rd party app that requires absolute trust in the dev. It's great but I prefer Brave browser.

Directly from the app store and still blocks ads and plays in the background.

I use the youtube ads to remind me to stand up and move around. Maybe do some push-ups or dips. You know, don't be a lard ass.

revanced stopped working and runs into pausing after 1 minute in of any video.

Do you have to make any special settings selections after downloading Brave to get it to do ad free YouTube and background play, and will that work on both brave android and iOS?

Check the YouTube site. They might have a 3 month trial. Or they might not. When I first started I got six months trial. One of my favorite subscriptions.
