Revanced is a way to get around ads and annoying stuff, but it's also a 3rd party app that requires absolute trust in the dev. It's great but I prefer Brave browser.

Directly from the app store and still blocks ads and plays in the background.

I saw this and got excited because I had been wanting to try out YouTube TV. Pooh! It is just plain old YouTube without ads.

Best Buy probably sends a 3-month code if you are a Plus or Total member with them. If you are a free member (like 99% of us posting in this thread), you get a 1-month code. Seems plausible anyway.

Okay, I didn't go jumping through all those hoops to be dissapointed, but I went to my Best Buy account and searched Best Buy Premium and it had 2 options, one was for one month free and the other was for three months free,
So I opted for the three months option.
Got to the pay now and it had my credit card information but I could change my credit card information, I have a Vanilla Visa gift card with I think about $2 on it so I placed the order using that and it went through.

So that worked, looking forward to watching YouTube commercial free for the next little while.

Thanks for the original post and this thread that mentioned using alt methods of payment.

Because i tried this offer and the code gave me only 1mo free at youtube.com/redeem
Then i made connection to reading this comment earlier.

So i figure, this i what happen: BestBuy has "some months free of YT Premium", that's what the code "rings" on YT side. Earlier YT were offering 3mo free, code-or-no-code. Now that has changed to 1mo free, code-or-no-code. Accordingly, the codes from BB now only get 1mo mileage, not 3. The description on BB side is wrong.

Bought the $189 (damn this thing is huge) Hisense Roku TV last night & downloaded YouTube TV app that I've seen recently with 10 days free, but found they've upped the ante to 21 days!
