This TCL Roku TV is a budget 4K set that stands out for low pricing and long-term reliability in everyday use. The Roku interface is familiar, sideloading is possible with Google TV on some setups, and several long-running TCL sets are still working well after years of use. The main drawbacks are the smart TV software, which can slow down and show more ads over time, and the built-in audio, which may need a soundbar. It also is not the best fit for serious gaming, where 120Hz sets make more sense.
Casual streamers wanting a cheap living-room TV, because Roku is easy to use and regular video looks fine at 60Hz.
Long-term TV buyers who want basic reliability, because multiple TCL sets have kept working for years with only minor picture adjustments.
Households that plan to use an external streaming box or computer, because the TV can be run as a dumb display when the built-in software feels slow.
Serious console gamers, because this budget set is better suited to 60Hz video than 120Hz gaming.
Viewers who want a fast, ad-light smart TV interface, because the Roku software can slow down and show more ads over time.
People who expect premium built-in audio, because the original speakers can sound weak enough to need a soundbar.
Buyers who need a TV with strong backlight longevity, because the backlight can fail after a few years.

I have never had a single issue with TCL Roku TV's and I've owned probably 10 of them in different sizes in different rooms... other than maybe like others said, the interface can get slower over time. But I suggested what seemed to fix mine, the cache clear code. Just do that every now and then when it seems to be lagging.
So anyway. Been a great TV, maybe my best/fav one of all the ones I've had. I have a sweet spot for my 55".
TCL+Roku is all I have and all I'll ever buy if at all possible.
