Star Wars Outlaws on PS5 and Xbox is a Star Wars open world adventure that stands out for exploration and a look at the galaxy beyond Jedi and Sith stories. The gameplay can be fun and there is enough content for long sessions, with playtimes around 40 hours and a platinum trophy within reach. At this price, it is repeatedly framed as strong value, especially at $20 or less. The main knocks are repetition, a bland open world feel, and uneven story and progression, with the disc also needing an 8 GB update to run.
Common Questions (5)
At $11.99, it is widely described as a strong buy if you like Star Wars or open-world exploration. Several comments call it worth $20 or less, with one noting about 40 hours of playtime and another saying it is totally worth the current price.
One playthrough can run about 40 hours, and another player was still around 8 hours in before losing interest. The game also has enough content for a platinum trophy run.
It can feel repetitive, and some players describe it as bland or boring open-world design. Others still enjoyed the exploration and gameplay, especially if they like the Star Wars universe.
Yes. The disc reportedly contains 44.86 GB, but an 8 GB patch is required to play, and launching without it can show a black screen with a "Game update check failed, no internet" message.
Yes, the platinum trophy is achievable and was completed by at least one player. The game is also described as a good way to explore the Star Wars setting beyond the usual Jedi and Sith focus.

Weren't there a bunch of patches and improvements made? Maybe you played the early version before they made the changes.
