Star Wars Outlaws on PS5 and Xbox is a Star Wars open world adventure that stands out for exploration and a look at the galaxy beyond Jedi and Sith stories. The gameplay can be fun and there is enough content for long sessions, with playtimes around 40 hours and a platinum trophy within reach. At this price, it is repeatedly framed as strong value, especially at $20 or less. The main knocks are repetition, a bland open world feel, and uneven story and progression, with the disc also needing an 8 GB update to run.
The game can provide around 40 hours of playtime for players who enjoy it.
The game can earn a platinum trophy and supports exploring Star Wars lore beyond Jedi and Sith focus.
The game can be worth the current price for players who want to finish it after an early loss of interest.
The game can offer exploration and gameplay that appeals to players who enjoy the Star Wars universe.
The game can feel like bland open-world Ubisoft-style content and may come across as repetitive.
The game can require an 8 GB patch and may show a black screen with an update-check error without internet access.
The game can disappoint after about five hours due to sloppy map, progression, and story pacing.
The game is not free because it requires PS+ and is limited to Extra or Premium tiers.

Disc contains 44.86 GB's. 8 GB patch required to play the game. When trying to play without the update you are given a black screen stating "Game update check failed, no internet. Please enable network connection to retry".

Weren't there a bunch of patches and improvements made? Maybe you played the early version before they made the changes.
