AliExpress has the GL.iNet Beryl 7 (MT3600BE) dual-band WiFi 7 travel router for $84.15 after coupon.

Sale price is $96.15 and you can apply code USBS12 to take $12 off $79+, making this $84.15.

As far as I can tell, this *should* come with a warranty even though it's from AliExpress. Seller is "GL-iNet Overseas Store". This seems to be the lowest price ever on this router.

Thanks, bought one. I had a price alert setup on Amazon. I think this is the version I wanted since it's listed as Beryl 7 AX while all other listings just say Beryl 7

you can connect it to another network and have it be secure so that the network you connect to doesn't have direct access to your devices and you are behind a firewall controlled by your device. You then connect this router to a VPN to encrypt your data and you are now much more secure. You can also then basically setup your own network with WIFI and you have all you devices connect to it instead of the network you don't know. This also allows you to share internet if you were to purchase it on a cruise, hotel, or other place that charges. Although, cruises have pretty much banned these routers. I always take mine with me when we travel.

You can save your travel router's SSID and password on your wireless devices (phone, tablet, computer, watch, etc). Then, when you travel, you connect the router to the hotel/airbnb's network, and now all of your wireless devices are connected via the travel router. You don't have to configure the wireless network for all of your devices. This is the most basic use case.

Some places (planes and cruise ships) charge based on how many devices are connected. If you have the travel router, you can connect one device, but share that access across your other devices.

The features of this router are built-in every Android phone. You can use it to share a paid WiFi point like a Hotel, Airplane, Cruise Ship, etc. Mostly for people with iJunk phones.

There's no such thing as Beryl 7 AX. It's just Beryl 7. I think it's a mistake. The Beryl 7 has WiFi 7 BE while the previous version is the Beryl AX and that only has WiFi 6 AX.

I love this router because it has ZeroTier support is built in. Meaning you can instantly connect to your PCs at home as if you were there. No friction.

Yes, I messed up the title. But you're right, both are referring to the same router.

You didn't mess it up. The listing title at AliExpress is mixed up with both versions.

No brainer at this price. I paid 109 back in Mayish and I would do it again.

Any risk of this thing being a counterfeit? Is that even a thing? Ignorant on buying from Aliexpress. I do see this ships from the US, so that makes me feel a bit better.

Well, if it runs the gl.inet firmware and ram size matches.. guess it's close enough?

Tempted. I had a Slate AR750 running WiFi5 (old and has 5ghz and no 6Ghz), then I got a Beryl 6… and a Beryl 7 sounds great.

I use Beryl6 now for travel. My old Slate acts as USB bridge as secondary ISP on my Unifi CLOUD gateway. I plug in my spare $180 Mint wireless phone and tether hotspot as failover.

No 6ghz. Cheapest gigabit wireguard router from their line up. In for one. Will be used as VPN at the house, actually have symmetric gigabit.
Confused why anyone would need a 130$ gigabit travel router vs a 30$ Opal that can do at least 50mbps wireguard.
Do people stay in hotels with gigabit internet ? Do these exist?
Perhaps it is the color Smilie
