YMMV, but you SHOULD be able to return the single BOGO battery. I think the method used to only work when buying in store, but things may have changed.
Assuming it still works, the kit should come out to about $179 and the battery about $119. If it doesn't show prices per item, you won't be able to return individually, they may show as "return price" or "pro-rated" or something, I forget exactly what it would say...

Any luck doing the battery return? Everything I read sounds like you really need a 4.0ah or higher battery for that bigger blower.

100% Lowe's is a much better trimmer with powerload and telescopic shaft and more powerful blower. Although the Amazon blower has good reviews that base trimmer not as much.

I bought this. Was able to return extra battery for $119 credit. So 2 tools plus 2.5ah battery and charger for net $179.

Both tools are upgrade from the Amazon bundle in front page .

I used both this week and the 2.5ah battery worked ok, but having an extra battery is pretty important. I have other ego tools so have extra batteries.

Very happy with this purchase.

Was waiting for a better deal or one that includes one 2.5 Ah or 4 Ah rather as I don't need more batteries but didn't realize I could "hack" it. $179 for just the baretools is already pretty slick imo. The extra 2.5 can just live forever in the my trimmer while I swap the higher capacities between the blower, mower, and chainsaw.

Edit: Bought online, returned battery in store just fine as the post above mentioned. Thanks y'all

I was also looking for a good deal on a combo trimmer, leaf blower with 2.5Ah and 4.0Ah battery. I ended doing the Lowe's deal as an online order for store pick up curbside. Picked it up, then went into my order on my phone did a return for just the bonus battery, brought the battery into the store, they scanned my code and I was on my way with the refund back to my credit card. When you purchase the combo and in the order it clearly shows the value placed on each item so it's really convenient. And then I hit up eBay, Mercari, Martketplace etc. and found a new 4.0Ah battery with charger total cost for everything when done was $309 +Tax. Thanks for posting about the "hack" for $9 more I walked away with a 4.0Ah battery and better charger instead of keeping the bonus 2.5Ah.
