But in short:
"LG monitors, including UltraGear models, trigger Windows Update to silently auto-install the LG Monitor App Installer upon connection. This software acts as adware by displaying McAfee trial pop-ups. It requests broad system permissions, raising intense privacy and data-harvesting concerns, though LG agreed to disable the promotional pop-ups after Microsoft intervened"
The off brand ones die in about a year.
