Nope; it's based on Diet Coke. I drank this all through the 90s and have. A nostalgic liking of Diet Coke, specifically caf free. Even still I prefer Coke Zero. I'll mostly use this to make rum and cokes

More bitter of an aftertaste, the lack of caffeine is definitely noticeable in the taste. It's ok enough. Coke Zero caffeine-free is closer to Coke Zero than this one is to Diet Coke.
