This seems pretty meh when just last week you could get a certified refurbished 5070-equipped PC with double the ram, a better CPU, and a 2-year warranty shipped to your door for just $200 more than the excellent condition price. https://slickdeals.net/f/19882212

I suppose for the fair condition it's an okay price.

I got one of these in excellent condition from the previous deal 7 months ago for $850, and it turned out to be a decent local inference server. The RGB is a bit much, but it's fine since it's tucked away in a closet.

Alas, as the AI bubble expands faster than the speed of light, this kind of deal is no longer part of the observable universe.

hey! that is my job to remind about the $800 ABS flux II deal from Walmart with b580, 32gb ddr5-6k, and 14400f.

Last time it returned, it was $850 though

12GB vs 16GB VRAM. To me, the 5060 ti > 5070 12GB. Sure, 5070 ti is better but I want thre VRAM to do AI videos locally. I just returned a 507ti cad I bought for $1085. So this would give me another computer to add to my fleet for work.

Is there any concern with Open Box today? GPU, RAM, and Storage are all super expensive. I could easily see someone swapping them out and returning them. In the past it wasn't worth swapping out for $50, but now a simple SSD can be $250 and GPU is $800.

This deal was crap 2 weeks ago when 5060 TI 16GB was still $550 range. Now they are $800+ cuz it has 16GB so it is pretty solid now.

Don't try to sell the GpU on secondary market though cuz most people do not want 5060 TI 16GB on the secondary. It pretty garbage for performance for $530 when I got one months ago and def crap now it's $800. I rather buy 5090 (some 5080)
which retains value and it's what people will buy on the secondary market

FYI. I bought the same one in January and had been suffering from coil whine and (just a handful of) random shutdowns if I close a game and relaunch immediately (transient surge) . I believe the current 600W PSU is underpowered for the 5060Ti. Even HP CTO web page(Customize To Order) says "the selected graphic card requires 850W Chasis and Power Supply).

https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cus...am-1tb-ssd

I finally upgraded to the Omen 1000W PSU and all the issues are gone and CPU/GPU average temperature dropped by about 10 Celcius. If you have this and plan to use it for any gaming or heavy AI workload it is best to upgrade the PSU.

The Omen 1000W can be bought for $99 with coupon code 10ATTACH.

The coil whine was so loud that my kid in a nearby room was wondering what it was. I was only able to bear with it for so long thanks to my gaming headset.

Still for $850 plus $100 PSU upgrade this was an incredible deal to get 5060Ti 16GB and 8700F.

That's a great idea... while I haven't been hitting my unit that hard and therefore have not experienced the coil whine issue, I might want to upgrade the GPU sometime, so it's good to know this option exists.
