I've bought 3 of them. They help you feel cooler in the sun if you get a light color. I don't have to lather myself in sticky stinky sunscreen. They breathe well, wash fantastic and keep the mosquitos off me. I spray mine with permethrin. The hood is ridiculously oversized but a running stitch down the back of the hood pulled tight makes the hood fit fine. This is a great price!

How does the size run? Do you size up? Also, are they too warm for spring/summer?

The size seems to be about right. I got two of them in a size larger for better air flow and because I wasn't sure about their sizing when I bought the first one. I live in the desert southwest and purposely wear mine outside when I'm gardening or out in the sun in general. I feel less hot when I wear it because the sun isn't in direct contact with my skin. I have another sun shirt from REI. It's not a zip up and the fabric is a smoother weave. It's nice also but I feel the fabric of the smooth feel lets in more breeze and I don't have to pull the zip up over my head to remove it. If things get too hot while I'm gardening (we've had several days over 100°) I've sprayed my arms down with the hose which gives instant relief. I've got two white for going to town and a light blue I wear for gardening 🙂

Thanks so much! I ordered one and I am sure it will be great.
