this won't "work with an AMS", if you mean another automatic source. the head can only push the filament out of itself, the AMS does the rest of the pulling.
this won't work "as" an AMS at all.
if you're asking "can I use this as an external filament source, along with the AMS?" then sure, you'd need to either print a splitter or buy the one from BambuLabs (i printed at first, but didn't like the result... found it annoying to feed through, the BL splitter is way nicer)... but even with that, it would all be manual. you'd need to feed manually and pull the filament back out manually, i do this with my S4 that sits next to my X1C for filaments i don't want to run through the AMS.
as another automatic source, along with the current AMS? it won't do that.
