Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank TodayOnly

apparently the catch is that you have to be signed up for 'Spectrum Internet Assist' which is for low income.

"Spectrum Internet Assist is a low-cost broadband program designed for qualifying low-income families and seniors. It provides speeds up to 50 Mbps for $25 per month (or $15 per month depending on specific state or regional qualifications). The plan includes a free internet modem, no data caps, and no contracts."

I get the same service not available error. Has anyone tried calling or chat?
Has anyone been able to add it?

Thanks, I was able to add Prime through my Spectrum account just now, it was a very seamless connection and everything such as prime video and other perks are available. I don't use Spectrum internet assist, I am on the 500mbps premier tier and I qualified for free Prime.

Same for me. Might be in only limited locations for now. I don't have Internet assist, just standard Spectrum Internet.

Worked fine for me. Signed in to Spectrum and the offer was on the main page. A couple of clicks later and Amazon refunded my remaining year and activated it through Spectrum.

If you have Prime directly from Amazon (rather than some other third party offer) it cancels your current Prime and refunds the remainder of what you had paid and switches you to the free Spectrum service.
