The only reason I bought one was to help flatten the large shipping boxes from Costco/Sam's Club for recycling. Some of those boxes have sides or corners that are nearly half an inch thick, making them extremely difficult to tear apart by hand - and even scissors struggle with them. These tools make breaking them down much easier.

I got a exact clone of this and it works very well, holds a charge well too. I have to cut down a lot of boxes and it slices through standard boxes easily, double/triple wall boxes which are rarer, it sounds like it gonna die but it powers through the cut. Would not recommend if your gonna use for arts or crafts, it is not easy to get super straight cuts but that could be a skill issue.
