This Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Pro Diver stands out as a Swiss COSC dive watch with a Sellita SW200 1 movement and strong value for the price. The design gets praise for looking beautiful and punching above its weight, and timekeeping reports are solid, including results around minus 2 seconds and within about minus 4 to plus 2 seconds. Shipping can be removed with code FREESHIP. Caveats include reported quality control concerns, a butterfly clasp that some dislike, and worries about Zodiac ownership and resale value. A solid pick if the design and Swiss chronometer spec matter most.

  • The watch uses a Sellita SW200-1 COSC movement that can deliver tight timekeeping around -4 seconds to +2 seconds.

  • The watch can arrive in excellent condition with no dust visible on arrival.

  • The watch may be a strong option for Swiss COSC buyers around the $700 range.

  • A FREESHIP code can remove the $9.82 shipping charge at checkout.

  • The watch can be described as a beautiful keeper after arrival and initial timegrapher testing.

  • Quality control can be inconsistent, including reports of debris on the hands and face.

  • The watch may not hold value well after purchase.

  • The COSC labeling can be confusing because some units show COS-C instead of COSC.

  • The butterfly clasp can be a drawback for some buyers.

I have to disagree with it punching above it's weight. I've owned and returned two of this line from Zodiac and they're quality control isn't great and the watches don't feel expensive. If you're used to cheap watches, these will feel great, but they don't feel like they're more expensive than you're paying IMO.

Weird that it says COS-C. COS-C is completely different than COSC. But.... this is indeed a very nice watch for the price. Punches well above its weight.

I've seen some QC issues as well. A few with just specs of debris on the hands and face. I just ordered one. I'll let you know how it arrives. Fingers crossed. I have a Zodiac compression diver and it's really, really nice.

Arrived today. Not a spec of dust anywhere. Honestly it's a beautiful watch. I only wish it didn't have a butterfly clasp. Threw her on the time grapher, -2 seconds. She's a keeper.

So you don't drive because cars don't hold their value either?

If you have some recommendations for brands/models that do I'm interested. Pretty new to watches so looking for some that are nice quality for sub-$1000

If you want Swiss look at Mido, Certina, Hamilton, Tissot, Glycine, Longines, Christoper Ward, all have very nice offerings sub $1K.

$700 for a watch 99.2% of the population will assume equates to a Timex or Casio. Smart 🤓.

I agree, it's hard to stomach anything over $300 for a brand nobody recognizes unless you really, really like the design especially since the cheap Chinese watches keep getting better. I like the design, but I've found IMHO cooler similar watches from microbrands under $500. But if you just gotta have Swiss movement so you can tell your one friend who's into watches you have one, then I guess this is a deal.

Most watch buyers at this price point don't care what 99.2% of the population thinks. $700 watches are not status symbols. The ones that do care buy Rolex, AP, Cartier, Tag and the likes. And Timex makes some really nice, high quality watches.

sellita sw200 chronometer grade is good enough for most, Seiko GS is better, but not x5 better

Nothing farther than -4 seconds and +2.
