A typical convertible backpack/duffle bag at $42 is going to run into problems with enough use: zippers snagging, strap support tearing, handles tearing... I just received this bag a few days ago and my initial impression is that this is one of those bags I can jam under the seat in front of me with my foot on a weekly basis and it will still work perfectly years down the road.
Edit: I forgot to mention comfort. Both the backpack straps and the duffle strap are very comfortable. Osprey is very highly-regarded for their backpacking bags; as somebody who does week long backpacking trips I have first hand experience in saying that the engineering how a bag sits on your body makes a huge difference when you're carrying 50 lbs of gear every day. Osprey is known as A-tier in that world, so for a simple bag like this they are miles ahead of cheap bag makers.

That being said, my Nebula is 32L. This isn't really that large.
