Gain Plus with Oxi is positioned as a strong laundry detergent that cleans well and leaves clothes smelling great. The formula is described as performing about as well as Tide for everyday laundry, and this specific Gain Plus version is said to outperform most Tide formulas, with only Tide Hygienic Clean edging it out. The deal mechanics also appear to work with both coupons and Subscribe and Save. The main caveat is that the advertised price did not show for every checkout, so the final total can vary. A solid option if scent and cleaning power both matter.
Common Questions (4)
It can clean about as well as Tide for everyday laundry, and one comparison found this Gain Plus formula outperformed all Tide formulas except Tide Hygienic Clean, which was only slightly higher. It is also described as a good fit for clothes that are not heavily soiled.
The advertised deal depends on the coupons and Subscribe & Save, but the checkout price can vary. One checkout showed both coupons working, while another showed no sales price and a $10.19 total with S&S after a $5 coupon.
The detergent itself did not reduce towel absorbency for one user, but fabric softener can leave residue and make towels stop absorbing water. If absorbency drops, the issue may be from softener use, rinsing, or washer drainage rather than the detergent.
It leaves clothes smelling amazing and is often paired with Gain fabric softener, scent boosters, or dryer sheets for a stronger scent. One shopper was unsure about the smell, but the reported result is a noticeable Gain fragrance.
