Gain Plus with Oxi is positioned as a strong laundry detergent that cleans well and leaves clothes smelling great. The formula is described as performing about as well as Tide for everyday laundry, and this specific Gain Plus version is said to outperform most Tide formulas, with only Tide Hygienic Clean edging it out. The deal mechanics also appear to work with both coupons and Subscribe and Save. The main caveat is that the advertised price did not show for every checkout, so the final total can vary. A solid option if scent and cleaning power both matter.

  • Gain Plus with Oxi can clean clothes effectively for everyday loads.

  • This Gain Plus formula can leave laundry smelling great after washing.

  • Towels can keep absorbing water normally after using this detergent.

  • Coupon stacking can work when both the $2.48 coupon and an additional 20% coupon apply.

  • Gain may not match Tide's cleaning performance for every type of laundry.

  • The advertised $7.63 price may not appear, with checkout showing higher pricing instead.

  • Fabric softener use can leave residue and reduce towel absorbency.

Our clothes aren't that dirty that it needs Tide. Although made by the same company, Gain does the job for us leaving clothes smelling amazing. Best, if you also combine it with gain fabric softener, scent boosters, dryer sheets.

You shouldn't be using fabric softeners. It leaves residue on your clothes and makes towels stop absorbing water.

Haven't experienced any of that problem. Towels are operating & absorbing the same, nothing changed. It could be a washer issue, that the machine is not rinsing the clothes properly or fully after adding the softener or the machine's auto detect is not detecting the residue. Some people also previously mentioned about drains/pipes getting clogged. But that I would blame on buying ultra concentrated very thick/ high density softner that are difficult to push with feeble water pressure from the machines. Our LG washer has been (knock on wood) going strong for nearly 5 years now and also has extra rinse cycle that we never had to use.
