What a useless post. If you have a comment about why Nord is ok, say it. If there are better VPNs out there, list them.

NordVPN here is a low-cost one year subscription for up to 10 devices, with activation codes delivered by email after purchase. The deal stands out for stacking on existing Nord accounts, router support, and no data cap or connection length limit. WireGuard is the preferred protocol for keeping speed loss low, while OpenVPN feels slower. The main caveats are that the new customer coupon is hard to trigger, orders have been canceled or denied, and some features like split tunneling and Russian servers are missing. It is a budget-friendly option if those limits do not matter.

  • NordVPN can be used to route traffic for specific needs, including scenarios like Netflix access and overseas servers.

    Ride_The_SkyRide_The_Sky

  • NordVPN activation can be completed by using the same email on Nord's activation page or by signing in first.

    Frylock364

  • NordVPN supports the WireGuard protocol, which can reduce VPN overhead compared with OpenVPN.

    ThoreauHD

  • NordVPN can be added to a router so it counts as one device for coverage.

    redman12

  • The $10 coupon may fail for existing Woot accounts even after creating a new Amazon account and changing checkout details.

    MichaelS27wavemanditto33

  • Woot orders for this deal can be canceled or denied, including cases where the order status changes after email issues.

    SaltonUnsaltedAtothppc

  • NordVPN may not work well for some access needs, including cases where Reddit requires disabling Nord.

    MIA2TLV

  • NordVPN performance can be noticeably slower for some connections, with reported speed drops from non-VPN to VPN use.

I think it's kinda special that when I click an alert email from slickdeals, if I've got the NordVPN (THEE SPONSORED PRODUCT OF THIS DEAL) up, I cannot get to the SD page.

Sometimes I wish I could have Visio at home.

Is woot now doing mystery sourced MS keys now, at a much inflated price? Or are these actually legitimate?

Truly sincere question, why would you want a Russian server?

So for existing nordvpn accounts, do any of the instructions on the woot page change? Did you log into nordvpn, then; "Step 1: Visit https://my.nordaccount.com/activate/"?

Doesn't work if you already have a Woot account, (I tried) :
Not so fast: this coupon only works for customers who are placing their first Woot order.
Did I create a new account to save $10, of course.
I wonder what the real percentage of "new" accounts are truly real, versus these fake duplicate accounts.

So if I'm seeing this correctly, we need to create a new amazon account to create a new woot account? Did you have to use a different physical address and/or different payment method than is on file for your real amazon account?

I've read that for countries where virtual servers are used, these are easily detected as VPN and blocked by payment, streaming services, etc

I don't think anyone benefits from several permutations of the same deal.

Well shoot, made a new amazon account with different email address and payment method. Then made a new woot account. tried to check out and no luck as a new customer. Went back and checked my info, changed my physical address on amazon (new amazon account), tried again and no luck as a new customer.

Hey all - just so you are aware the amount of blocking of VPN network addresses is REALLY starting to get annoying. I've had Nord for years and even Reddit is now starting to block if they see your network address is coming from a VPN service like Nord and/or others. It will only get worse as AI starts to see/block stuff. Right now it is the "smart"companies blocking VPN traffic because the bad actors use them but it will get worse over time. I have years of service from deals like these that will likely become useless as this issue gets worse.

I have used Nord the last couple years. The speed is alright. I think when my current sub expires I will go Proton or Mullvad.
