So if I'm seeing this correctly, we need to create a new amazon account to create a new woot account? Did you have to use a different physical address and/or different payment method than is on file for your real amazon account?

I've read that for countries where virtual servers are used, these are easily detected as VPN and blocked by payment, streaming services, etc

Well shoot, made a new amazon account with different email address and payment method. Then made a new woot account. tried to check out and no luck as a new customer. Went back and checked my info, changed my physical address on amazon (new amazon account), tried again and no luck as a new customer.

Hey all - just so you are aware the amount of blocking of VPN network addresses is REALLY starting to get annoying. I've had Nord for years and even Reddit is now starting to block if they see your network address is coming from a VPN service like Nord and/or others. It will only get worse as AI starts to see/block stuff. Right now it is the "smart"companies blocking VPN traffic because the bad actors use them but it will get worse over time. I have years of service from deals like these that will likely become useless as this issue gets worse.

I have used Nord the last couple years. The speed is alright. I think when my current sub expires I will go Proton or Mullvad.
