I've had this model for a while now. 3' isn't very long, but it's been long enough for me. Would definitely recommend one for traveling. I'm getting another.

I've had one of these for around a year. While I don't trust it to run 5 amps for a long time safely (5a / 20v for 100w) due to the thin cable, I think it's great for everything else. It *will* charge 100w, but I noticed the ends start heating up to uncomfortable levels over the course of an hour at those high amp rates.

It winds up nicely for storage, so it's a great choice for throwing in a bag after you're done with it. I use it for work to charge random odds and ends.

It's been great as a throw-in-the-bag-and-go cable. Sleek and tidy.

Code only seems to work on the black one. For people asking about only 3ft, get the longer one. It'll cost alittle more.

these items are the kind of stuff you get real cheap on temu or alixpress. they are even half the cost of this "sale price" ($3, or even cheap at $1), most have a 3-in-1, instead of just USB-C. obviously it may take longer to arrive.

now you might say, 'but amazon return process is easier', but no. for cheap items like this under $10, the return is immediate as soon as it's marked shipped, basically the moment you drop it off at post office. a stark difference from Amazon lately; where they have been stonewalling refunds (they are extremely backlogged, and Prime Day didn't help). amazon's gotta inspect the items after it has arrived (even then the expected refund day can be delayed), and will delay your refund to make maximum interest on your money. this was not the way in the past; amazon would typically refund right away, but they are changing.

the item from these cheaper sites likely doesn't get returned anywhere back to china, but probably goes to a landfill; based on my limited research, since the item is so cheap, it's basically disposable). besides that, they don't "die" until outside of return window anyway.

NOTE the Amazon reviews for this item, and why it's only 4 stars - a major ding against it is the 'Durability', where it dies after 3 months.

Good deal for what it is. Been using it for 3 years now, got 3 and they all still work, no issue with the retracting mechanism. I keep 1 in my car, 1 in my work bag and 1 in my travel tech bag.

Sounds nice in theory but I wonder how quickly they wear out and break internal wires with the constant wrapping and unwrapping
