$BABA complies with whatever the Trump tariffs of the week are. And they have many U.S. domestic (re)sellers.
Whoever compared it to $AMZN is pretty inaccurate. It's much more like a Chinese $EBAY with only a "buy it now" option. No $BABA warehouses or Prime perks.
There are a ton of scammers on $BABA, but I have been refunded. And given credit when shipping was delayed past 30 days. But, the problem here is if you need something, you might not get it at all. And you basically gifted the seller a 30 day interest free loan.
Quality will vary widely, but you should expect that when buying underpriced goods from a Chinese reseller hub.
Overall, I have a positive impression. But I mostly use it for random "nice to have" purchases like wire crimpers, copper crush washers, etc.
Both bikes arrived in 3 days!
Both bikes included all parts and working. We used the youtube video walkthrough versus included instructions.
Review:
Took the bikes out for a few hours.
Both me and my wife are 5'8" & 5'6" - so the bike size worked for us
Bikes are a tad heavy. My wife definitely would prefer something lighter.
Electric pedal assist is a little awkward - not a deal breaker, or terrible, just takes a little getting used to.
Suspension is fair - our yard has several rolling hills and it was a little risky riding on it. Flat paved surfaces only.
Overall experience is fair. But at this price I'm totally pleased.
That said I would not suggest this bike for a new rider or novice rider. My wife, who is an average rider, does not feel comfortable at this stage with the bike. I'm sure with more time that will change. However, I could see an inexperience rider easily getting hurt.
