Lowest price to date, as far as I can crawl. Time for $250 CPU / motherboard bundles.

are the games activation tied to the CPU serial # in anyway? I'm interested in the games only and would sell the CPU.

You don't need to match the serial and the exact cpu but you have to activate with a certain cpu that never used it for promotion before.

You really can't beat it for this price. I have the 250 and 270 in a different computer. Both are very good.

Seems like a great deal if you have a Micro Center nearby. Sadly the closest one is two hours away.

For mainstream basic RAM, 2x8gb or 1x16gb around $200 used, a bit more new.

2x16gb about double that.

But many would also have to upgrade to DDR5 ... which is the largest leap in price.

But many would also have to upgrade to DDR5 ... which is $400-ish for 32gb. All for a reduction of 30-300ms in most tasks.
