I just need someone to tell me these are trash. are these trash? it seems pretty hard to get that much worse than shokz, sound quality-wise.

Never fails LMAO....

Is it 10x better, because it's 10 more expensive. There are fine, work as well as earlier gen "aftershockz".

I'd say it's only about 9x better at best.

I have Shokz OpenMove for about $60 and I'd say I prefer them over AirPods Pro 2s for overall long-term comfort, quality, and fast pairing. I wonder how these compare at 1/4 the cost.

I have a similar pair I got from Aliexpress. They're one small step above ewaste. Not positive they're the exact same as this, but they look very similar.

I have a pair of these from Onn (walmart's in-house brand). They were around $20.

I am unimpressed. It's like if you took a pair of discount headphones, reversed the speakers so they fired away from you, and put them slightly in front of your ears. Everything is very muffled and muted, like you're listening to a tinny speaker from far away.

I've tried on "SHOCK Z" brand in stores, thinking maybe I'd get something better if I spent more....wrong. I had pretty much the same experience.

I suppose it's allright if you MUST have your ears unobstructed for situational awareness.... and you're listening to nothing important. But even the cheapest $2 headphones are going to give you better audio quality.

Key to any bone conduction headphones is the fit. They need to be snug against your temples. One trick to getting there is to put them in a jig--something that holds the sides close together. Then with them set to a tighter fit, heat them with a blow dryer and let cool.

But also set your expectations. They're meant to let in other sound.

I have shockz and bought one of these knockoffs for my wife. Both are good for podcast and YouTube. Both are bone conductive (passed by plugging ears and sound was louder). Both are insanely comfortable. I will wear them the entire day with no issues. I often forget I am wearing them. I will pause and not take them off.

I feel like they leave performance on the table. If you press them into your head better they sound better, I say this because like most headsets they can depend on ear and head shape for a detailed sound quality comparison. Having said that, they both sound worse than my jbls both in ear and behind the ear. But I can wear them while chewing gum unlike my in ear JBL. My ears do not get fatigued by wearing them. And I like that both the bone conductive have physical buttons.

basically its a non issue. in general bone conduction headphones have more sound leakage then closed back headphones but less then open back. every once in a while someone has mention they can hear my headphones but if i turn it down a bit they cant anymore.
