Reminder, these are for EIGHT ounces of water/package: needs 2 packs a normal 16 ounce water bottle. Makes these crazy expensive

Clearly you have not bought pedialyte in liquid form at a store recently. It is so expensive. 1L is like $6.

Yes, I know! Super expensive. However, the Pedialyte maker estimates that more than a third of all sales are to adults for hangovers and exercise hydration. These adult buyers should be aware that this powder is not packaged, or priced, like the Liquid IV or Gatorade powders.

"Single-Use Powder Packets: Each stick is pre-measured for 16 fl oz water." as stated in the description. Having said that, the amount of liquid you add it to is irrelevant, you will still get the benefits... in 16oz, or even 24oz. This is not alcohol, just drink the bottle and you will have your nutrients, electrolytes and everything in there.

You are correct that is says 16oz in the description but on the product photos it says 8oz on the packets. Conflicting info.

Adding more water to the mix does not usually increase the amount of sugar, electrolytes and other active ingredients. But being hung over does make you dehydrated so maybe the extra water helps.

Pedialyte does make a 17 gram pack for 16 ounce bottles. These however, are the 8.5g packs for 8 ounces of water

It's incredibly easy and cheap to make your own electrolyte mix at home.

- salt (fine salt, or most forms work)
- potassium chloride or citrate powder (79 center per oz on Amazon)
- magnesium citrate (optional, $1.19 per oz)
- small carbs and sweetener, if you want.

Ration of 2:1:a pinch of mag
