Not a good deal, only good for the 1200 resolution.

My friend recently got a Nimo laptop for $650 from Nimo website for his robotics student teenage son with better specs, came with 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB SSD.

Brands mean nothing in PCs (people like me know this and will troubleshoot and fix faster than a big name brand can), especially at the laptop level.

i have to humbly disagree. While brand itself does not matter per se, generally a major brand is likely to have much better quality control and warranty service. Brand names generally will also be much better build quality, use known trustworthy parts, less likely to scam or cut huge corners. Sure for the right price, i would buy one of the cheap ones on aliexpress ect but you have to know what you are potentially (and likely?) getting which is a major crap shoot.

It appears both the AMD and Intel variants are the same price at $650. Which is better AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 or Intel Core Ultra 7 255u?

255u due to better power efficiency and onboard graphics.

This should be the price point for named brand too!

OP is overpriced by $200 - even with all those made up demand stories

The weight of this laptop is 5.28 lbs? That's insanely heavy for a 14" laptop. Either Staples description is wrong or the quality of the build is poor
