Those resellers on Newegg sell them at a huge markup. Sure, it's almost free when you take the $10 credit into consideration, but the value just isn't there. I'd rather purchase other ~$10 items on Newegg with a lesser markup. Not to mention that those marketplace sellers may be selling counterfeit batteries.

just a tip for anyone who doesn't know already: all CR2032 batteries are lithium. just mentioning this because the packaging really highlights that as if it's something special

Tip, don't buy big brands. It's probably fake. "Known China brands" are better Voniko, LiBi etc (sorry I don't know the correct name)

Sorry but I scanned the post and it wasn't obvious — this doesn't have the butter coating, right? So works with apple Air tag?

This is because we blew out their stock buying four packs at the net cost of sales tax, not because it wasn't a good deal

I have bought these same Panasonic coin batteries from Amazon before and they were complete junk. Don't know if they came half charged or what, but they did not last long at all in anything I put them in.

I order Rayovacs from Walmart now for the same price and they perform 10x better.

I have found these to be just ok. Priced right because they seem to die much faster thana brand like energizer. So if you dont mind your trackers and fobs to be dying all the time, go for it.
Last time i got them via home depot. So stupid they sent each pack -i bought two- in a separate box. Free shipping. So wasteful

Panasonic is a major battery marker. A lot of their profits comes from their battery business. In fact it is what kept them a float when they were near bankruptcy a decade or so ago.

So yes they makes good batteries.

I buy batteries from the camera shops like BH Photo Video and Adorama or the major electronics distributors like Mouser or Digikey. Yes, they cost more, but you are guaranteed both genuine and fresh batteries, stored at a proper temperature.

I've wasted too much money buying batteries via Walmart, Amazon, ebay, and other retailers where counterfeit or new old stock batteries are mixed into the genuine supply. Last time I bought a SlickDeals FP from Walmart for a bunch of AAA batteries from Energizer, about half the box was dead by the time I ended up using them. I don't think they were fake; what I think happened was that they were stored in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse and experienced wide temperature extremes. So, even though they had plenty of years till the "expiration date"--they died quickly.
