Some deals expire within hours and that maybe what happened there. the longer the deal is available the more action it gets.
Yes, I stand corrected, that is a great deal, but again, contingent on that 25% off S&S Q, other wise the price was $7-8 higher which puts it back in the ball park of this deal if you didn't have that Q.
Also, because it was under $35 to start with, shipping would apply to folks w/o prime adding another $7-8 bucks. I think that in part is a lot of the action on this thread, people w/o prime can get the same free shipping as those with Prime. And you'd be surprised how many do not have prime.

Yes, the best deals are the multi prong, S&S, 25-40% off Q's, multibuy or spend x/get $y off offers ALL stacked at once. . It's fun when you can put together a crazy scenario that gets $100 worth of merchandise down to $30. Had a post with cat food like that about 2 months ago.
