Been using these for 2 years now. They work great, big improvement over the old butane one

I'm a big fan of these, and this is a good price for this unit.

The biggest issue with these is the cost to run. They're a little bit like inkjet printers where the unit isn't that expensive, but the refills cost a lot.

Buying end of season from woot is about as cheap as they go. I ended up buying a total of 4 of them last year. Expensive to operate, but I find using multiple spaced apart really does work well.

There are several YouTube videos showing how they can be refilled with aftermarket liquid. Saves over OEM refills

$12.50 for name brand 40 hours or $9 fet generic. ~$0.25 a hour (ignoring the tiny but of electricity) is pretty good if you ask me.

Good tip. I bought some generic and they didn't fit perfect, and didn't seem to make as much "smoke". So I tested it plugged in for 24 hours straight and the liquid level barely moved. I gifted the wick size difference was the issue. So when I run out of the OEM I'll refill with the generic, but use the OEM container

Have you tried the generic? I bought the only ones I can find and they worked about 0%. I would say that it was water in there, but I couldn't even get smoke to really come out

I own two of these and from my experience they work well on normal mosquitoes, but where I live we get Asian Tiger Mosquitoes and I have seen those fly directly through the vapor to get to me. In fairness to the device, not much seems to work on those, at least that I have found.
